چکیده

The pulp–tooth area ratio (PTR) from radiographic dental archives is considered useful for age estimation in the forensic field. Since there have been no studies conducted Saudi Arabian population using PTR method, this study aimed to assess relationship between of maxillary canines and central incisors chronological among adults CBCT compare selected teeth’s predictive power. For this, 100 scans 62 male 38 female patients aged 20 60 years were assessed OnDemand 3D DentalTM software (Cybermed Co., Tustin, CA, USA) axial sagittal section each tooth. mean estimated (39.98 years) was higher than canines’ (37.9 years). A negative correlation coefficient ‘r’ value seen age. strongest inverse noted incisor view (0.47) (p < 0.05), Maxillary had R2 both genders (males: PTRS-0.18, PTRA-0.17; females: PTRS-0.19, PTRA-0.35) canines. We conclude a weak estimation. ratios sections inconclusive estimating individuals owing their low Among tooth types studied, better predictors

Cone beam computed tomography radiation dose and image quality assessments.

Diagnostic radiology has undergone profound changes in the last 30 years. New technologies are available to the dental field, cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) as one of the most important. CBCT is a catch-all term for a technology comprising a variety of machines differing in many respects: patient positioning, volume size (FOV), radiation quality, image capturing and reconstruction, image ...

Comparison of transportation and centering ability using RECIPROC and iRace: A cone-beam computed tomography study

BACKGROUND AND AIM: Root canal treatment, especially in curved and constricted root canals, can be very difficult and time consuming. Several investigations have compared the reciprocating and full sequence motions in terms of shaping ability. The purpose of the present study was to compare the root canal transportation and centering ability of RECIPROC and iRace using cone-beam computed tomogr...
